Privacy Policy

1. Overview
ChronoView (https://chronoview.app) is a web application that lets you browse a YouTube channel's past uploads in a calendar view. This policy explains what information ChronoView handles and how.
2. Operator
Operated by an individual developer. Contact: ytcalpj202606@gmail.com
3. Information We Handle
ChronoView has no user accounts and does not collect personally identifiable information (name, email address, etc.). The information processed by the service is limited to:
- Search queries: Text you enter in the channel search box is sent to the YouTube Data API and held in short-lived server-side caches only. It is not associated with any individual user.
- Request logs: Standard Cloudflare request logs (IP address, User-Agent, path, timestamp, etc.) are processed briefly. They are not used to track or profile individuals.
- Aggregate analytics: We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-focused, cookie- and fingerprint-free aggregate analytics service, to understand traffic trends.
- YouTube public-data cache: Public metadata of the YouTube channels and videos you view (channel name, video title, publish time, thumbnail URL, etc.) is cached, encrypted, in Cloudflare KV for performance. Only data that is already publicly visible on YouTube is cached; nothing is linked to an individual user.
4. Purpose
- Displaying YouTube channel and video information
- Improving response time through caching
- Aggregate, anonymous understanding of usage patterns
- Detecting and preventing abuse
5. Third-Party Services
The service relies on:
- YouTube Data API v3(Google LLC), used to fetch public channel and video data. Google's privacy policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy) and the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms) apply.
- Cloudflare(Cloudflare, Inc.) for Workers, KV, Web Analytics, and CDN. Cloudflare's privacy policy (https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/) applies.
- Google AdSense(Google LLC): This service displays ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partner vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's visits to this site and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com/).
6. Retention
- Public-data caches expire automatically (current-month video data: 1 hour; past-month video data: 30 days; basic channel information: 24 hours).
- No identifier that ties a viewing history to a specific user is retained.
7. Cookies and Local Storage
The service itself uses no authentication cookies. Browser sessionStorage may be used for short-lived caching of search results within a single session and is cleared when you close the tab. Google AdSense may, however, use cookies to serve ads; see "5. Third-Party Services" above for details.
8. Your Rights
Because we do not collect personally identifiable information, we have no personal data subject to deletion requests. Please contact us with any questions or concerns.
